The Planar 1 is part of the combination punch landed with the Planar 2 and 3 this summer. Redesigned over a two year period, the Planar 1 is entirely new. Featuring a glossy acrylic plinth in black or white, it's a real stunner. A newly redesigned phenolic platter ups the ante on performance, while the new tonearm improves on its iconic design and ease of use. A new 24V motor, main bearing, and isolation feet round out the package. Rega has never offered a better package for less than $500, and the Planar 1 is sure to dominate the field!

For the first time the Planar 1 is now running a 24v, low noise, synchronous motor to reduce vibration transfer combined with our brand new RB110 tonearm fitted with Rega's bespoke zero play bearings. Only sharing the drive belt, sub platter and dust cover from the outgoing RP1, this is truly a new turntable for 2016.
